Implementation of the seventh stage of the comprehensive program “Heritage of the Commonwealth. Traditions for the future” starts in Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Implementation of the seventh stage of the comprehensive program “Heritage of the Commonwealth. Traditions for the future” started in Tashkent.

This time, the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan is the partner of the initiator of the program, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts.

The conference "Heritage of Eurasia in the museums of the CIS" will be held within the framework of the program. It will gather at one table 45 speakers from eight CIS countries - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. 

This year, special attention is paid to those times when people living in the vast territories of the Eurasian space did not yet divide themselves into ethnic groups. Among the conference participants are representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Academy of Sciences of Armenia, leading archaeologists of Russia.

The archaeological section will continue with ethnographers' reports on costume, jewelry, gold embroidery, as well as art historians' research on mutual influences in decorative art and the reflection of skill in the works of graphic artists and painters. Special mention deserves reports on trends in the work of designers who rely on tradition in their work. On the last day of the conference, experts will talk about exhibition solutions, as well as innovative projects that link the museum and the public. The conference will run until December 2nd.

The seventh stage of the program “Heritage of the Commonwealth. Traditions for the Future” will become a significant event strengthening ties between the CIS countries. The initiator of the program, which has been implemented since 2016, is the Project, supported by the IFHC.
