In Tashkent, a delegation led by IMF senior financier Albert Eger held a series of meetings in the ministries of finance and economics, the Central Bank, the State Tax Committee, the General Prosecutor’s Office and other departments.

The discussion focused on development priorities, structural reforms, monetary policy, financial and tax systems, the implementation of the State budget and its parameters in 2019.

In the near future, the IMF will publish a final statement on the results of the mission’s visit to Uzbekistan. On 5 March will be a briefing on this topic in Tashkent, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
