The Ilyushin inter-state aviation corporation signed a one-billion-dollar contract to supply 98 Il-114 planes to two airlines.
MAC Ilyshin is part of the United Aircraft Corporation. Ilyushin director general, general designer Viktor Livanov told Itar-Tass that the customers were the airlines "Kontinent" (35 aircraft) and "Open Sky" (63 planes).
The planes under contract are to be equipped with Russian-made TV7-117SM engines and can carry 52 to 64 passengers. They will be manufactured by the Tashkent production association named after Chkalov, with delivery date until 2015.
