Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During inspections carried out by the state tax service in January-October of this year, illegal trade in alcohol and tobacco products totaling 1.4 billion soums was revealed.

The illegal sale of 52,689 units of alcoholic products worth 886.2 million soums without excise stamps, with old-style excise stamps and counterfeit excise stamps, without relevant documents, as well as without digital marking was prevented.

In particular, illegal alcohol products were seized:

- 560 business entities have 39,716 units worth 750.8 million soums;

- 63 citizens have 12,973 units worth 135.4 million soums.

For 360 business entities and citizens selling tobacco products, the illegal sale of 46,970 packs of tobacco products worth 516.8 million soums without excise stamps, as well as without digital markings, was prevented:

- 77 business entities engaged in retail trade have 20,383 packs worth 255.5 million soums;

- 283 citizens have 26,587 packs worth 261.3 million soums.
