Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The next meeting within the framework of the visit of the working group of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States was held at the office of the International Finance Corporation - IFC.

Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat association Fakhriddin Boboev, as part of the Uzbek delegation, met with the leadership of this institute to discuss the issue of attracting international financial assistance to the leather, footwear and textile industries of Uzbekistan.

International Finance Corporation (IFC) is an international financial institution that is part of the World Bank. IFC provides loans, equity investments, structured finance and risk management products, and advisory services to spur private sector growth in developing countries.

At the meeting, the Uzbek side presented a presentation on the leather and footwear industry, its investment and production potential.

Representatives of the International Finance Corporation informed that they had heard in world news that Uzbekistan had launched the production of sports shoes under the world famous NIKE brand. According to American experts, this will be a good help in the future for obtaining financial assistance in activities related to attracting global brands.

As a result of the negotiations, IFC expressed its desire to visit our country in the near future for a more detailed acquaintance with the activities of enterprises in the leather, footwear and textile industries of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
