IDC DX Day 2018: Results of the IDC Conference on Business Digitalization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The IDC DX Day Roadshow: All About Innovations conference was held in Tashkent, which annually brings together IT managers and managers of the largest companies in the private and public sectors to discuss topical issues of digital transformation.

The IDC DX Day Roadshow conference series is held in various cities of Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. Tashkent event is one of the leading events of this series. IDC DX Day Roadshow 2018 in Tashkent was visited by more than 200 IT experts, analysts and representatives of leading IT vendors.

The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Development of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the CIO Club of Uzbekistan was a strategic partner.

The conference was opened by Andrei Beklemishev, IDC Regional Director for Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Mongolia. At the opening of the conference, the Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azarov Azimjon and the Head of the Main Department for the Development of the Digital Economy of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azamat Karamatov made a welcoming speech.

An overview analytical report was presented by IDC Senior Vice President for EMEA, Stephen Franzen. In a report on the heyday of the digital economy, he voiced key trends to ensure the breakthrough of the IT industry, and outlined the vector of further discussions at the conference.

According to IDC research, if in the next three years, the total average annual growth in investment in technologies of the 3rd Platform is 4.9%, then in technological accelerators, which include the Internet of Things, cognitive systems and artificial intelligence, robotics, VR / AR and 3D - printing, investments will grow annually by 18.9%. The driving forces behind these changes are, above all, the desire to transform customer experience, the achievement of competitive advantages and the search for new business models.

Asadjon Khojaev, director of the Center for Information and Public Security, spoke about technologies, problems and ways to solve the construction of a safe city as a special guest at the conference.

The representative of the CIO Club, a strategic partner of the conference, Aziz Rakhimov, spoke about the level of ICT in Uzbekistan today and its development trends in the future.

For the first time, the blockchain theme was highlighted at the conference. In an information and analytical report based on the data of world practice, Andrei Beklemishev spoke about the advantages and prospects of the introduction of the blockchain into the work of public services.
