Representatives of ministries and departments, as well as delegation of the IDB participated in the presentation in Tashkent.

It was noted that cooperation with the IDB Group is gradually developing in many directions, including healthcare, education, irrigation and land-reclamation, energy, water supply, municipal economy, development of road infrastructure, support of small businesses.

Cooperation with the IDB is directed at supporting important socially important and programme of industrial and infrastructure development of Uzbekistan through implementation of the projects with attracting loans and technical assistance of the IDB.

Uzbekistan became a member of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD). The corporation is actively operating in Uzbekistan directed at assisting development of financial and leasing services, support small and private businesses.

Representatives of Uzbekistan actively participate in educational programmes of the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), receiving knowledge and experience in management, trade and Islamic financing.

Director of department on country programmes, the head of the IDB delegation Muhammad Al-Saat, underlined that constructiveness and effectiveness of the meetings with the Uzbek colleagues and expressed hope for further developing and deepening interaction of Uzbekistan with the structures of IDB.

The IDB Group includes Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investments and Export Credits (ICIEC), Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), and International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC).
