Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- ICT Week Infocom 2010 started in Tashkent on 20 September 2010. The Week was opened with press conference in the Uzbek capital, UzACI reported. Infocom 2010 is a main event in ICT sector of Uzbekistan on 20-24 September 2010. Various events, directed at improving ICT sector, will be conducted within the week. The ICT week was organized by Coordination Council for Development of Computerization and Information and Communication Technologies, the Committee on information and communication issues of Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber, ICT Policy Project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan and Association of IT Companies and Organizations of Uzbekistan. The ICT Week will help to unite efforts of ICT market players – government, public and international organizations and assists to speed up ICT development. The Week will also help to attract attention of public to achievements in the ICT sector. Within the exhibition, it is planned to hold ICT Summit, ICTEXPO-2010 exhibition, conferences and seminars, etc.
