Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Week of Information and Communication Technologies – ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2018 kicks off in Uzbekistan.

The week includes a number of activities aimed at further improvement of the industry, presentation of the latest achievements in the field of communication and information.

This year the main event in the technological sphere of the country will be held on 24-29 September in Tashkent and Jizzakh and will gather hundreds of developments and technologies created by domestic and foreign scientists on its sites.

This year, “Information technologies for children” campaign will open the ICT Week, which will be held today in Jizzakh region.

The brightest event of the week will become an exhibition of information and communication technologies ICTExpo 2018, which will be held on 26-28 September in Tashkent and Jizzakh. It is expected that more than 100 companies will attend the exhibition, and the number of visitors will reach 35 thousand people.

Digital Uzbekistan forum will take place for the first time within the framework of the week, which will become a unique expert platform for discussing current trends in the sphere.

The organizers of the week are the Committee on Innovative Development, Information Policy and Information Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the country and a number of other partner organizations.
