The Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) said that representatives of over 50 ministries and departments participated at the event.
It was noted that the relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea are developing in all directions. The state visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to South Korea in September 2012 determined new directions of cooperation between two states, including in IT sector. Uzbekistan
The main aim of the event is to expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea on development of information-communication technologies, including introduction of ICT into public administration.
The event noted importance of the ICT sector to development of economy. Development and use of ICT help to improve efficiency of management in all levels – state and non-state sectors of economy, help to expand interaction with public and civil society.
The participants familiarized with Korean experience on introduction of information technologies to various sectors of economy and social sector, including banking sector, healthcare, management of social infrastructure.
The delegation of Korea Telecom also familiarized with the Museum of Communication History.
