Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today in Uzbekistan, enhanced measures are being taken to counter the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), which has become global.

The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications and its subordinate enterprises are carrying out serious work to protect the population of our republic from this threat and mitigate its negative impact on economic sectors.

Among such works is the organization by Uzbektelecom of telecommunication services at quarantined facilities, including in the territories of newly built hospitals. In this regard, in a short period of time, videoconferencing services were organized on the territory of 87 objects of the Ministry of Health throughout the republic.

Today, the Ministry creates all the necessary conditions for providing telecommunication services to the population as part of large-scale measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Uzbekistan.
