Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the first stone was laid in the Olympic Village, which will be built for the 4th Asian Youth Games Tashkent-2025. 

Among the guests of honor of this historic event was the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, President of the International Swimming Federation Hussein Al Musallam.

The foreign specialist was accompanied by Minister of Sports Development Adkham Ikramov, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov and Deputy Chairman of the Committee Azizjon Kamilov.

During his visit to Tashkent, Mr. Al Musallam not only took part in today’s event, but also met with Uzbek sports officials. During the meeting, issues of further development of the Olympic movement in our country were discussed. In particular, the popularization of swimming among the younger generation was considered.
