Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures for further improvement of hunting and game management activities in the republic”.
According to the decree, starting from 1 September 2024, hunting will only be allowed within designated hunting grounds, and hunting outside these areas will be prohibited.
Land plots for the establishment of hunting grounds will be provided to legal entities and individuals through electronic online auctions based on rental rights for a period of 49 years, with the rental period divided into three stages:
1. The first stage – 10 years;
2. The second stage – 10 years (conditional on fulfilling investment and contractual obligations);
3. The third stage – 29 years (conditional on fulfilling investment and contractual obligations).
If infrastructure for breeding or reproducing wild animals is not established within two years, the rental agreement will be terminated.
The hunting grounds adjacent to the hunting farms (hunting bases and breeding stations) will be allocated to the legal entities and individuals who win the electronic online auctions for the purpose of game management.
