Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Hungary are considering the possibility of simplifying the visa regime for Uzbek citizens seeking temporary employment in Hungary, according to Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency.

A delegation from Uzbekistan, including representatives from the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Uzbek Embassy in Hungary, visited Budapest for discussions.

During the visit, talks were held with Hungarian ministries, government agencies, and recruitment companies, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to ease work visa procedures.

As a result of the meetings, both sides agreed to jointly study mechanisms to simplify the visa issuance process for Uzbek citizens planning temporary employment in Hungary.

Additionally, the Uzbek delegation met with Uzbek nationals residing in Hungary to discuss their concerns and the current situation of labor migration.
