Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - HUMO card holders can pay for goods up to 250,000 soums in supermarket chains Korzinka.uz and Makro without entering a PIN code.
Due to the quarantine regime introduced in Uzbekistan due to the COVID-19 virus, the HUMO payment system increases the limit of non-pin transactions for HUMO card holders in supermarket chains Korzinka.uz and Makro up to 250,000 soums. The measure is taken in order to minimize physical contact of cardholders with the terminal in places of frequent crowds.
“During the quarantine period, we decided to temporarily increase the limit of non-pin transactions in the supermarket chains Korzinka.uz and Makro, where the number of people doing everyday shopping has increased. The ability not to transfer the card to the cashier, not to touch the terminal or pinpad makes the purchase process faster and safer,” Kurbanov Shukhratbek, director of the NMPC, explained.
This is a temporary measure that will allow to unload the box office and speed up customer patency. The increased limit in Korzinka.uz and Makro will remain in effect until the situation normalizes.
At the same time, the existing limit of non-pin transactions in the amount of up to 50,000 soums continues to operate throughout the entire HUMO infrastructure.
