Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– Residents of Uzbekistan and foreign guests have the opportunity to withdraw funds in national currency from international Mastercard cards. HUMO ATMs installed in the cities of Uzbekistan will serve citizens and tourists 24/7.

The National Interbank Processing Center (NMPC) provided the opportunity for holders of Mastercard cards to withdraw funds in national currency at HUMO ATMs. Withdrawal of funds occurs at the rate established by the international payment system Mastercard.

 “Having successfully completed all technical work with Mastercard and integrated this international system into HUMO ATMs, we are pleased to finally inform that residents and visitors of our country have the opportunity to withdraw cash now not only from HUMO and Visa cards, but also from Mastercard cards. Affordable cashing of funds from international cards is one of the important indicators of how the country is “tourist-friendly”. In the future, we intend to introduce payment acceptance for Visa and Mastercard holders in the HUMO terminal network,” Shukhratbek Kurbanov, director of the NMPC, said.

From 29 August, HUMO ATMs began to accept international Visa cards. More than 500 ATMs of HUMO can serve holders of HUMO, Visa and Mastercard cards. The fee for issuing cash in national currency from an ATM is set by the bank itself, and the rate is set directly by the payment system of the card holder. In tourist cities, HUMO ATMs are located 24/7 near major attractions, hotels, markets, etc.
