HUMO and Turonbank present a new payment format - One Touch based on Tap to phone technology

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – HUMO contactless payments can be accepted by taxi drivers, couriers, other representatives of the service sector and more. To accept payments from HUMO bank cards, now it is enough to have a phone with an NFC module instead of a terminal.

The National Interbank Processing Center (NMPC) and Turonbank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank jointly launch the new One Touch product based on Tap to phone technology. The technology allows you to accept payments for goods and / or services from HUMO bank cards with a smartphone with an NFC module.

“We are witnessing how banks have begun to actively innovate for the convenience of their customers. This clearly demonstrates the development of competition in the banking sector. In particular, Turonbank’s initiative to implement the One Touch product will greatly simplify the conduct of small and medium-sized businesses and will significantly increase the cashless transactions market in Uzbekistan. Entrepreneurs will be able to expand the network of contactless payments and increase their customer base. At the same time, consumers will get the best experience and will be able to pay for their purchases contactlessly where previously this was not possible. For example, taxi passengers will be able to pay with just the touch of their card on the driver’s phone,” explained Kurbanov Shukhratbek, director of the NMPTs.

One Touch works on smartphones with the Android operating system and allows you to accept only HUMO contactless cards for payment. To do this, the seller needs to enter the amount to be paid on the smartphone screen, and the buyer needs to touch the merchant's phone with his card.
