Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 13 December 2024, a ceremony was held in Tashkent to present the "For Human Rights Protection" badges. The awards were presented to the recipients by the Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Akmal Saidov.

The "For Human Rights Protection" badge is awarded to citizens of Uzbekistan, stateless individuals, and legal organizations for their contribution to the protection of human rights and freedoms, the promotion of legal culture, and the development of legal protection for citizens in Uzbekistan.

The following individuals and organizations were honored during the ceremony at the National Center for Human Rights:

I. For Practical Work in the Field of Human Rights Protection:

Mirbabayev Bakhityar Shamsutdinovich — Veteran of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Sayidov Toshpulot Davronovich — Head of the Law Office "SAYIDOV TOSHPO’LAT DAVRONOVICH", Lawyer

Pulotov Abdukhamal Kadyrvich — Veteran of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan

II. For the Activities of Non-Governmental Organizations in Human Rights Protection:

III. For Contribution to the Protection of Women’s and Children’s Rights:

Matchanov Alimjan Atabaevich — Head of the Department for Foreign Personnel at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

It is important to note that the "For Human Rights Protection" badge was established by the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated June 22, 2020, "On the Approval of the National Human Rights Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan." According to the Decree, the award is presented ceremonially by the Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
