Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December, the official opening ceremony of the "Human Rights House" will take place at the Information and Resource Center of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This new educational center was established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The "Human Rights House" will serve as a specialized platform for promoting human rights activities and legal education in the country. It will house a modern library that includes international and national human rights documents, scientific research, commentaries, and analytical reports.
The ceremony is organized by the National Center for Human Rights, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, and the National Library named after Alisher Navoi. The event is dedicated to two significant dates: Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, celebrated on December 8, and International Human Rights Day, observed on December 10.
Around 100 participants have been invited to the presentation, including representatives of international and regional organizations working on human rights protection and legal promotion, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan, media representatives, experts, scholars, and public figures.
Additionally, specialists from library and resource centers across the country will be able to follow the event online.
