HUAWEI presents its smartphones, tablets in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation dedicated to activities of HUAWEI Technologies Co. Ltd and launch of official sales of HUAWEI smartphones and tablet computers was held in Tashkent on 20 September 2012.

During the presentation, HUAWEI Technologies Co. Ltd presented six models of smartphones and three models of tablet computers.

In particular, the Chinese company presented such smartphones as Huawei Ascend PI, Huawei Ascend Dlquad XL, Huawei Ascend G300, Huawei Ascend Y200/201, Huawei Ascend Y100/101, Huawei Honor and tablet computers – Huawei MediPad Lite, Huawei MediPad and Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD.

HUAWEI Technologies Co. Ltd is one of the largest telecommunication companies of China. It is well-known as producer and vendor of IT and communication solutions.

According to the research of The World's Most Innovative Companies 2010 of the US firm Fast Company, HUAWEI Technologies was included to top five of innovative companies after Facebook, Amazon, Apple, and Google.

The company has been working in Uzbekistan since 1999 and opened its office in Tashkent in 2000. It opened subsidiary and training center in 2005. In 2008, HUAWEI Technologies opened Central Asian Office, which works with the countries of the region and Mongolia.

Currently, equipment of HUAWEI serve over 55% of population of Uzbekistan and it is number one telecommunication solution provider in Uzbekistan.

The company has some 150 employees in Uzbekistan and 80% of them are citizens of Uzbekistan, it said. The company participated in projects of Uzbektelecom, East Telecom, local mobile communication operators, etc.

Chinese firm also supports talented students and teachers of Tashkent University of Information Technologies. It established an annual prize with the total budget of 50 million soums. It also donated equipment to the university.
