For 5 days, participants from Uzbekistan, together with students from Thailand and Cambodia, will be able to take in-depth courses on 5G technologies, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, HMS, and will also be able to take virtual tours of Huawei’s headquarters and bases in China and get acquainted with culture and traditions of the PRC. For greater interactivity, students are invited to online lectures from Huawei experts from headquarters as well as the regional office.
“We welcome students and future IT specialists to our project. Despite the pandemic, the project was not stopped and went online, as did the learning process in all institutions this year. And today we are demonstrating that thanks to digital technologies, education can be available to everyone, regardless of the location of students and teachers, which means that more young talents can get unlimited access to knowledge, including in the field of ICT,” said Mr. Liu, Director of Huawei in Uzbekistan Jiaxin.
During the online opening ceremony, broadcast from the media studio of the company’s office, guests from ICT educational institutions greeted the program participants and expressed their support for future ICT specialists. Among the invited guests, Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Yuldashev Kakhramon, Rector of TUIT Sarvar Babakhodzhaev and Vice-Rector of TUIT Umarov Khairulla, Deputy Director of the Specialized School of ICT Technologies Sevara Shokirova took part in the opening ceremony.
“For more than two decades of activity in Uzbekistan, Huawei has established itself as our reliable and long-term partner, making a great contribution to the development of the ICT industry in Uzbekistan. I am glad to see that Huawei, thanks to the capabilities of its headquarters training center in China, can unite students around the world for an in-depth study of innovative technologies,” said Qakhramon Yuldashev, Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The "Seeds for the Future" project not only provides access to knowledge, but also opens up opportunities for future ICT specialists, as graduates of the programs of 2018 and 2019 after graduation from the university had an internship at Huawei in Uzbekistan, and some of them are already tired of the Uzbek staff. office, thus continuing to contribute to the development of digital Uzbekistan.
Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s global corporate social responsibility program. Launched by headquarters in 2008, this project aims to develop local ICT talent, broaden horizons and knowledge, build deep understanding and interest in the telecommunications sector among talented youth, and improve and encourage regional interaction and participation in the digital community.
