Huawei hosts educational roadshow ahead of annual internship program
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Huawei has launched the "Annual Internship Program Roadshow," an educational initiative covering leading universities in Uzbekistan specializing in information and communication technologies (ICT).
The event aims to introduce students to Huawei’s operations, its contributions to the country’s ICT infrastructure and digital transformation, and potential career opportunities within the company.
As part of the roadshow, participants will hear first-hand success stories from department heads and young professionals who joined Huawei last year after completing their studies.
Throughout the week, final-year students from Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha University in Tashkent, Amity University in Tashkent, and Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent will have the opportunity to learn about Huawei’s internship program. Applications are open until 2 February 2025.
Additionally, students will gain insights into specialized courses on advanced technologies available through Huawei ICT Academies, which operate across 15 leading universities in Uzbekistan.
A key highlight of the roadshow was a masterclass held on 14 February 2025, at the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Specialized School. The lectures focused on the future of 5G technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
Huawei experts covered topics such as:
The history and evolution of mobile technologies;
The benefits of 5G implementation for economic digitalization;
The fundamentals and key development stages of artificial intelligence;
Machine learning algorithms, computer vision, and AI models;
Practical applications of AI for societal benefits.
The discussion on AI sparked an engaging debate among participants, highlighting the importance of such events in enhancing technological literacy and connecting young talent with leading ICT experts.
For 25 years, Huawei has been actively supporting education in Uzbekistan, partnering with top universities and institutions specializing in ICT. Each year, graduates can participate in a three-month internship at Huawei’s Uzbekistan office and compete on an international stage through global initiatives such as ICT Academy and Seeds for the Future.
