Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On the development of an automated warning system for emergency threats or emergencies and the organization of its effective use" was adopted.

The document approves the Regulation, according to which:

the main purpose of the warning system is to inform the population and relevant authorities with reliable and timely information about emergency situations;

the warning system operates at the republican, regional, local and object levels and is launched on the basis of the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, the heads of civil protection of the regions and the heads of facilities;

in case of emergency (potential emergency), the alert signal to the population “Attention to everyone” is reproduced by means of horn voice amplifiers for up to 3 minutes and is accompanied by electric sirens;

after this signal, information about the emerging emergency is reported through television, radio and the Internet through video and audio clips lasting no more than 5 minutes;

the population is also notified through mobile operators.
