How to protect a bank card from scammers?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzkomnazorat State Inspectorate has repeatedly recommended that citizens do not distribute copies of passports and other documents on social networks, do not trust fake SMS messages, and do not give in to different messages in fake channels and groups in Telegram, created on behalf of well-known brands, should not be trusted by strangers who promise to transfer money to plastic cards, as well as observe security measures when disseminating personal information when buying and selling goods on the Internet.

However, there are still various fraud schemes on the Internet and Telegram. In particular, a student of Gulistan State University appropriated about 30 million soums from citizens’ plastic cards, and a student of Ferghana State University appropriated about 20 million soums as a result of fraudulent schemes on the Internet. This once again proves the need for citizens to be more vigilant.

The Uzkomnazorat State Enterprise urges citizens to beware of such Internet scammers, not to post photos and plastic card numbers in various groups and channels on the Internet and Telegram, not to divulge secret codes received via SMS, and also to exercise extreme caution when disseminating personal information (copies of passports and other documents) on social networks.
