Hopkins University: Worldwide COVID-19 cases exceed over 188 million

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the World Health Organization, the number of people infected with coronavirus infection in the world is more than 187 million 519 thousand, of which more than 4 million 049 thousand people have died (as of 17:05 CET on 14 July 2021).

Over the past day, 362,031 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the world, 6,135 patients have died.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University (as of 10:21 am Tashkent time on July 15, 2021), more than 188 million 313 thousand people have been infected in the world, of which more than 4 million 057 thousand have died.

The leader in the number of confirmed cases remains the United States, where, according to WHO, more than 33.572 million infected have been identified.

In second place is India (over 30.946 million), in third - Brazil (over 19.106 million), in fourth - Russia (5.857 million), in fifth - France (5.705 million).

According to the WHO, over the past 24 hours, 20,450 new cases were registered in the United States, 38,792 in India, 17,031 in Brazil, 23,827 in Russia, and 5,500 in France.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, more than 3 billion 497 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide.
