Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 September, the Honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan was officially opened in Trabzon, Türkiye, according to the press service of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Türkiye.

The diplomatic mission is located in front of the regional administration building of Trabzon.

According to the embassy, the opening of the honorary consulate will help protect the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens in the region, as well as strengthen trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between Trabzon and regions of Uzbekistan.

Previously, honorary consulates of Uzbekistan were opened in the provinces of Bursa, Adana, and Antalya, as reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
