Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 February, the acting khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov met with representatives of the consulate of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan under the leadership of Honorary Consul Kanan Jalilov.

Shavkat Umurzakov spoke about the reforms being carried out in the capital at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The main goals of the reforms are to create a sustainable economy, ensure justice and the rule of law, create a favorable investment environment, and ensure security and stability in society.

He also mentioned plans to implement projects in the fields of tourism, infrastructure, housing and communal services and manufacturing.

Kanan Jalilov expressed gratitude for the meeting and expressed the interest of the Azerbaijani business community in participating in major projects in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue dialogue with the business communities of both countries for effective and mutually beneficial cooperation.
