Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit to Tashkent region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured the Tinchlik small industrial zone in the Yangiyul district and learned about the operations of several enterprises.
Such complexes play a key role in the socio-economic development of regions, creating favorable conditions for business and ensuring employment for the population. The industrial zone was established four years ago on an area of 36 hectares, where engineering communications, internal roads, and buildings were constructed, creating good conditions for production.
In this zone, 15 projects are being implemented in the fields of building materials, light industry, and food production. Of these, 10 have already been put into operation. Last year, enterprises produced import-substituting goods worth 295 billion soums, and this year, it is planned to nearly double this figure. Currently, more than 1,500 people are employed at these enterprises, and with the launch of all projects, employment is expected to rise even further.
At the Enter Steel enterprise, the production of metal structures, high-pressure tanks, cranes, drilling equipment, welding electrodes, metal doors, and electrical panels has been organized.
The total cost of this project is US$40 million, with direct foreign investments involved. Equipment was procured from China, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands, which enhances product quality and labor productivity.
The company will provide jobs for 1,500 people. To prepare the necessary specialists, a “practical mono-center” has been established. The classrooms and laboratories are equipped with modern equipment, and the educational program has been developed in collaboration with Tashkent State Technical University.
The head of state familiarized himself with the production processes at the enterprise and the exhibition of the products manufactured there.
Responsible officials were given recommendations for developing cooperation with sectors where the products of the enterprise may be in demand.
