Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to create additional convenience for passengers, starting from 24 September 2022, high-speed electric trains were scheduled to run on the Tashkent-Chirchik-Khojikent route, which reduced the travel time to the city of Chirchik to 45 minutes.

It is noteworthy that the train departing from the Tashkent-Yuzhny station has two more stops in the capital at the station - Tashkent-Central and the Salar stop, since passengers can easily reach / leave them by public transport (metro, buses and fixed-route taxis). For the convenience of passengers, joint work was carried out with Toshshahartranshizmat JSC in Tashkent and relevant organizations in the city of Chirchik to organize convenient city transport routes to the schedule of arrival and departure of electric trains.

Currently, high-speed trains run every Saturday and Sunday. In the short term, after the purchase of new and modern electric trains, the number of trains will be increased and suburban electric trains will also run on weekdays. 

It should be noted that at the International Exhibition "Innotrans - 2022" held these days in Berlin, representatives of JSC "Uzbekiston temir yullari" held negotiations with manufacturers of electric trains from countries such as Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, China and a number of other countries on the issue of procurement of trains and passenger cars.
