Hi-Tech Bank becomes member of SWIFT
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Hi-Tech Bank private closed joint stock commercial bank became the member of Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT).

SWIFT is international interbank system on transfer of information and carry out payments. SWIFT is corporate society, created in line with legislation of Belgium. Headquarters of the SWIFT is located in Brussels. SWIFT carries out over 1 million of transactions a day. Annually, SWIFT processes over 2.5 billion payment orders.

Each bank, which joined to the system, has own unique SWIFT code and Hi-Tech Bank was assigned HTBBUZ22 code.

The bank said that accession to the SWIFT became important step in developing international operations of the bank, ensure clients with high-speed and reliable transactions and opens additional opportunities for developing interbank correspondent relations with foreign partners.

Central Bank of Uzbekistan issued license to Hi-Tech Bank closed joint stock commercial bank in January 2010. The announced charter capital of the bank makes up 5.25 billion soums.

Priority directions of Hi-Tech Bank’s activities are to assist deepening social-economic reforms, financing projects of small and private businesses, as well as stimulating formation of new class of proprietors in Uzbekistan.
