Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Heating tariffs for legal entities are being increased in Tashkent.

The increase is due to the introduction of market mechanisms in the energy market. The basic tariff for heat supply from Veolia Energy Tashkent increases by 67.3% from 397,212 soums to 664,465 soums per gigacalorie (Gcal) of energy.

The new retail price of 1 Gcal for legal entities will be 212,606 soums. This is 1.5 times more than the current tariff - 141,737 soums.

The cost of heat supply for budgetary institutions increases to 801,963 soums per 1 Gcal (now – 502,067 soums, +59.7%).

At the same time, the tariff for the population will remain unchanged - 91,960 soums per Gcal.

The base tariff is the cost that Veolia Energy Tashkent receives for heating services. Retail price is the cost of heating paid by legal entities and individuals. The difference between the base and retail prices is subsidized by the state budget.
