Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Some legislative acts have been amended and supplemented by the Law signed by the President of Uzbekistan.

According to the amendments made to the Law “On Local State Power”, the heads of regional health departments and the Main Health Department of the city of Tashkent submit a report on the results of each half-year, respectively, to the regional and Tashkent city Councils of people’s deputies.

Based on the results of hearing of the report, the relevant Council of People’s Deputies assesses the effectiveness of their activities and makes an appropriate decision, which is sent to the Ministry of Health.

In addition, the heads of district (city) medical associations, based on the results of each half-year, submit a report, respectively, to the district (city) Councils of People’s Deputies.

Based on the results of hearing this report by the relevant Council of People’s Deputies, the decision is sent to the territorial health authorities.

Also, in accordance with the amendments made to the Law “On Citizens’ Self-Government Bodies,” the citizens’ assembly hears information from the heads of district (city) multidisciplinary central clinics, family clinics and family doctors’ offices, to which the population is respectively assigned.

The law comes into force on the date of official publication.
