Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The head of the Tashkent Transport Department and the head of the Toshshahartranshizmat company Anvar Juraev was detained and placed in custody.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan requested the use of a preventive measure in the form of detention.

On 7 February, the Yunusabad District Criminal Court granted the petition and decided to place the head of Toshshahartranskhizmat in a pre-trial detention center.

Anvar Juraev is suspected of committing crimes under paragraph “a” of Part 3 of Article 167 (theft by embezzlement or embezzlement on an especially large scale) and paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Article 209 (forgery committed repeatedly).
