Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Timur Ismatullaevich Sultanov was appointed head of the finance department for the defense complex, law enforcement agencies and other industries of the Ministry of Finance.

Timur Sultanov was born in 1987 in Tashkent, an ethnic Uzbek. He has higher education, graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics in 2008.

Sultanov began his career at the Ministry of Finance in 2008 as a 1st category economist at the Department of Financing Science of the Main Directorate for Financing Social and Scientific Sciences. In 2011, he worked as a leading economist and then chief economist in the Department of Finance of Science of the General Directorate of Social Sphere and Financing of Science.

In 2017, he worked as the head of the department for financing higher education and science of the Main Directorate for Financing Social Sphere and Science of the Ministry of Finance.

Prior to his appointment, he headed the budget policy department of the Department of Education, Science and Education of the Ministry of Finance.
