Head of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications presents books to Tashkent College

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Komil Allamjonov, director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications at the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, donated a collection of books from his personal library to a professional college for the training of specialists in publishing and printing.

On 19 March, a video-selective meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss the promotion of reading books among the younger generation.

“Let us, the leaders, starting with the prime minister, the heads of districts, deputies, take the initiative themselves and donate 10–20 books to the schools where they studied, to the regional libraries. No need to wait for someone to do it. Unfortunately, not everyone reads books, but most young people need them very much,” said the Uzbek leader.

The initiative of the President was actively supported by the government and the public.

During the event, in which the Agency’s staff, teachers and students of the educational institution took part, the leadership of AIMK transferred over 300 books to the college library.

“The initiative of the head of our state is very important and relevant, since it is directly related to the future of the younger generation,” said Komil Allamjonov. - Books form the spiritual world of a person, his world view, attitude to life, help his self-development and development as a person. We must make every effort so that truly talented works are published in our country, and the book has become a true friend for young people. ”
