Head of State Tax Committee meets with businesspeople

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the Palace of Youth Creativity in Tashkent, the Chairman of the State Tax Committee Sherzod Kudbiev met with a group of active entrepreneurs - about 50 people who faced the problem of reducing tax amounts to be paid to the budget and illegal acceptance of amounts for offset VAT.

The Chairman of the State Tax Committee spoke positively about the dialogue and open communication of tax authorities with entrepreneurs, taxpayers in general, and their readiness to listen to their problems.

Kudbiev noted that in order to ensure the economic stability of the country and increase the welfare of the population, the fight against the "shadow economy", in particular, with the activities of "dubious" enterprises, will be activated, will continue, there is no turning back.

For this, the database of the state tax service authorities is expanding, the capacity of servers is increasing, in the field, modern technologies are widely used, which provide the ability to automatically analyze business processes without the influence of the human factor, which make it possible to identify violations in tax legislation, to detect imaginary financial transactions.

It became known that the number of "dubious" business entities is increasing more than those already identified. According to the results of analyzes carried out by the Risk Analysis program, the list of previously identified 396 “dubious” enterprises was supplemented by another 129 enterprises - the total number reached 525.

The chairman of the State Tax Committee firmly noted that "cashing firms" are the first and only enemies of an honest entrepreneur, they, creating an unhealthy environment, harm other conscientious taxpayers. All documents collected about such illegal actions were sent to law enforcement agencies.

The chairman of the State Tax Committee discussed in detail the problems of each of the businessmen present: all claims and disagreements were heard individually. Reasonable solutions were proposed for the problems raised. In particular, entrepreneurs who have a tax debt as a result of illegal acceptance of VAT amounts for offset, in accordance with the provisions of the Tax Code, are granted the right to pay in installments. For this, representatives of business entities must apply to the tax authorities with a statement.

An order was received to create an open platform in the online space for operational dialogue between tax authorities and business entities - a group in the Telegram messenger “Taxpayer and Entrepreneur” (“Solichchi va tadbirkor”). The attendees came to a mutual agreement that for each well-grounded proposal, appeal and objection studied by the experts, positive solutions will be offered to this group.

The entrepreneurs, in turn, also made a number of proposals. In particular, that services should be increased to detect unscrupulous taxpayers. Private business representatives actively support openness and transparency in the activities of tax authorities and advocate free dialogue.

“There should be many such meetings and as often as possible - this is useful both for tax authorities and businessmen,” says businessman Umidjon Yunusov. - We support the system of detection and public announcement of dishonest entrepreneurs. This service, sooner or later, had to appear. Admittedly, this will create some difficulties in business. But it will also play an important role in creating a fair and legal business environment - and in the fight against the "shadow economy".

To date, about 10,000 enterprises have been identified that have carried out financial transactions with "dubious" taxpayers, which have taken into account the amount of value added tax in the amount of almost 1 trillion soums without paying them to the State budget.
