Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team Srecko Katanec has contracted the coronavirus, the Uzbekistan Football Association said in a statement.

Srecko Katanec was supposed to come to Dubai for the training camp of the team.

The Uzbekistan Football Association notes that the result of the PCR test for COVID-19, which Srecko Katanec passed before departure, turned out to be positive. The coach was forced to isolate himself.

Midfielder Hojimat Erkinov, who arrived in Dubai with the team, also tested positive. He also went into quarantine.
