During the talks, the sides exchanged views on further prospects of development of information and communication technologies in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry said.
As a promising area of cooperation, representatives of Hansa Telecom offered to implement a project to introduce mobile number portability (MNP) service in the country.
Representatives of Hansa Telecom noted that this service will help to abandon the so-called "mobile slavery" - subscribers can save their number and prefix when they change the mobile operator.
According to the delegation of the Latvian company, this will increase competition in the mobile communication services market.
The sides expressed interest in continuing joint work on further consideration of opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
