Currently, the legislation of any country contains relevant norms, designed to protect the objects of intellectual property. National legislation is not an exception and, therefore, is successfully developing in this direction. The main objective of this edition is to familiarize the software creators and its users with the basic legal issues that often arise in the development and use of software.
The rules and requirements of the legislation and their simplified explanation, practical examples and recommendations that are offered in the Handbook will help not only authors and producers, but also the users of software, as far as they make clear the distinction between the legal and illegal use of others’ works, and thus preserve the software users from committing unconscious breach when using software. The Handbook on intellectual property rights for software in Uzbekistan will help to understand the value of intellectual property and its rational use.
It should be noted that the CD which includes legal documents on protection of intellectual property rights and appendices comes with each copy of the Handbook.
