“Hand made Art Ankara -2019” Festival takes place in Turkey

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 to 18 February 2019, the annual international cultural festival and fair of products “Hand made Art Ankara -2019” is held in the Turkish capital, Dunyo news agency reported.

This cultural event has been held since 2007 by the Department of Tourism of the Ankara City Hall in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Foreign Ministry and the diplomatic corps accredited in Turkey.

Every year more than a million visitors attend the event to get acquainted with the rich variety of traditional handicraft products, culture, folk traditions and art of foreign countries and Turkey. This year, representatives of the Hunarmand Association of Uzbekistan also participate in it.

At the organized stand of our country, handicrafts made of ceramics and wood, as well as embroidery and jewelry are presented. The presented works reveal the beauty and diversity of the culture, history and traditions of the Uzbek people.

During the event, a briefing was held on measures taken in our country to create favorable conditions for foreign tourists. The briefing was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, travel agencies and operators, the media, members of the Uzbek diaspora in Ankara, as well as students from Uzbekistan studying in Turkish universities.

During the briefing, Turkish tour operators were familiarized with the ongoing work in Uzbekistan to further develop tourism, improve infrastructure and create favorable conditions for residents and guests of the republic, as well as the latest innovations for obtaining visas and the right to receive a residence permit in our country.

The intensification of mutual trips has contributed to the expansion of cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres. Cultural and humanitarian ties are actively developing today. Against this background, the participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan in this festival is a logical continuation of our active cooperation, concluded the Turkish representative.
