Over 100 students of colleges of Andijan region, teachers, representatives of local administration and mass media attended the event.

The resolution of the President “On additional measures directed at implementing state youth policy in Uzbekistan” determines concrete tasks on use of banking services by small businesses, family businesses, graduates of educational establishments, creating conditions for youth to doing business. This issue is one of the part of its strategy and it provides loans to young people to open their own business.

Within the event, the participants received information on Global money week (GMW), an international event directed at raising financial awareness of youth.

GMW takes place in the second decade of March each year. Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) coordinates the initiative. Within the CYFI, various events are organized at schools, universities, ministries, central banks, commercial banks, etc.

It was noted that Hamkorbank is an organizer and participant of GMW in Uzbekistan. At the event, it was underlined that young people should study to save money from early stages. It is vital that youth have knowledge on opening banking account and financial system as a whole.

The participants received information on banking activities of Hamkorbank, its products and services. Hamkorbank is holding similar events in other regions of Uzbekistan.
