GRP of Kashkadarya region grows by 2% in 1Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Gross regional product of Kashkadarya region (Uzbekistan) grew by 2% in the first quarter of 2010, while share of small businesses in industrial output rose by 5.1%.
In the reporting period, about 113 billion soums were directed at increasing activity of real sector of economy, financial support of business entities from all sources.
The region increased exports by 53.2% in January-March 2010 in the result of implementation of economic programmes on increasing the region’s export potential.
About 1,300 new small businesses were created in the region and commercial banks of the region increase crediting by 9.2% year-on-year in the reporting period.
