Industrial output of the region rose by 12.3% in January-September 2010, consumer goods – 14.1%, agriculture output – 5.3%, construction works – 28.6%, retail trade turnover – 14.8% and services – 12.9%.

Active investment policy, implementation of modernization and re-equipment projects allowed to launch 106 production objects. Investment projects were implemented in light and textile industry, construction materials industry, machinery and other sectors.

Share of small businesses and private businesses in gross regional production of Andijan region made ip 56.3%.

The region created over 69,720 new jobs in the reporting period.
