Group A: Uruguay clinches top place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uruguay topped the Group A of the FIFA World Cup, defeating the hosts Russia in the last match of the group stage.

Uruguay claimed 3-0 victory over Russia thanks to goals of Luis Suarez and Cavani, as well as own goal of Cheryshev.

In the second match, Saudi Arabia won the match against Egypt with the score 2-1.

Uruguay topped the group with nine points, Russia is second with six points. Saudi Arabia is on the third place with 3 points. Egypt is last in the group with 1 point.
