Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Busaiteen coach Abdulaziz Ameen is optimistic his injury-ravaged side will be capable of defeating Al Tilal of Yemen on Tuesday and seal their place in the last 16 of the AFC Cup.

The Bahraini side are top of Group A with eight points from four games while Al Tilal are bottom with just one victory.

“Our main worries are over the absence of Moroccan striker Rabee Lafoui who has a hamstring injury while Ali Abdul Karim will also miss the game through suspension,” said Ameen.

“We could also be without the services of our first choice goalkeeper Sayed Shubbar Alawi and Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Andic.

“However, I’m optimistic that we can get a good result against Al Tilal and win the game.”

A win for Al Tilal would keep alive their slim qualification hopes and coach Sami Al Naash insists they will fight until the very end.

“We will go into the game with an aim to win because winning the next two matches will give us a big boost to qualify,” he said.

“Our main concentration is on the local league but at the same time winning in the AFC Cup is important.

“We have prepared well. I have watched some of Busaiteen’s matches and I have some information about their team. Hopefully we can get back to Yemen with a good result.”

Meanwhile, Neftchi need a victory against Al Ahed to keep alive their hopes of reaching the knockout stage.

The Uzbek side head into the game on the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 victory at Bukhara in their domestic league.

And coach Yury Sarkisyan believes that while it has been hard to find replacements for injured players as the tournament has progressed, he believes it has been a good learning curve for the incoming youngsters.

“Over the course of the season we have searched for replacements for our injured players,” said the Neftchi coach.

“As a result we have a considerably changed squad and we are fielding not just 20-year-old players but even 19 and 18 year-olds.

“Each defeat damages their confidence but each win lifts their spirits.”

Neftchi are keen to avenge their humiliating 5-1 defeat to Al Ahed in their opening game.

“We wish to take revenge for the big defeat we suffered in the first match,” added Sarkisyan. “We did not deserve to lose so badly.”

Al Ahed are looking to bounce back after losing their last game 2-1 to Al Tilal and also missing out on the Lebanon league title to Al Nejmeh by just one point.

"We have asked the players to forget the previous defeat and concentrate on the next game," said Al Ahed coach Fouad Saad.

"The game will very hard because the field is small and it will cause some problems for us."
