The Bahraini side have already sealed their place in the last 16 as they hold an unbeaten record heading into the final group game.
A point in Beirut would be enough to earn them a crucial home advantage in the next round, although they will have to contend with an Al Ahed side needing a win to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive.
“We need a point in order to secure our place at the top of the group,” said Ameen.
“However, we will go into the game looking to get a win because playing for a point is always dangerous.
“I believe our team has a lot to give in the game and they will be able to play well because we don’t have any pressure. Al Ahed will have a lot of pressure because they will be playing at home in front of their fans and they must win.”
Buoyed by last week’s Lebanon Cup victory, Al Ahed must win and hope Yemen’s Al Tital avoid defeat against Neftchi in order for the Lebanese outfit to advance at the expense of the Uzbek club.
“We have prepared well and we have no options but to win,” said Al Ahed coach Fouad Saad.
“We will play this game but at the same time we will be looking for the result of the other match.”
With Al Ahed holding the crucial decider in terms of head-to-head, Neftchi know they must beat already eliminated Al Tilal at Ali Mohsen Al Muraisi Stadium to progress.
“Our game against Al Tilal is very decisive because we must win if we want to advance,” said Neftchi coach Yuriy Sarkisyan.
“We can qualify if we beat Al Tilal and hopefully we can do that.”
Sami Naash’s Al Tilal, meanwhile, have nothing to lose and will look to end their campaign on a high.
“We have already lost our chance to qualify,” said Naash. “The game against Neftchi will not add anything for us but we want to prove that we are a good team.”
