Gross agriculture output in Uzbekistan makes up 11.182 trln soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gross agriculture output of Uzbekistan made up 11.182 trillion soums in nine months of 2010, which is up 7.8%. Share of agriculture output in GDP of Uzbekistan made up 16.2% in January-September 2010.

In particular, production of industrial goods (works and services) made up 82.0 billion soums (growth – 35.1%) and consumer goods – 4.7 billion soums (growth – 12.2%) in comparable prices within the Ministry of Agriclture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan.

In the reporting period, some 39,870 new work places were created within the industry due to creation poultry farms and green houses, increase capacities of existing farms.

Accounts receivable decreased by 13.9 billion soums, account payable – 15.3 billion soums and debts on wages – 1.5 billion soums in the system of the ministry.

Some 2,558 agriculture equipments worth 71.8 billion soums were leased to agriculture enterprises. They were also provided with mineral fertilizers and fuel-lubricants.

Commercial banks of Uzbekistan directed preferential loans for 1.228 trillion soums into agriculture sector, including 332.8 billion soums to wheat production and 1.006 trillion soums to cotton production.

Over 445,330 boxes of silk grains were produced in Uzbekistan and some 25,159.5 tonnes of silk cocoons were sold to the government. This is up 1,187.1 tonnes up year-on-year. The average yield made up 55.3 kg.

Grain-growers of Uzbekistan produced over 7 million tonnes of grain, of which 2.61 million tonnes were cash grain and 272,100 tonnes of seed grain were sold to the government. At the same time, average yield at irrigated lands made up 50.6 centners per hectare and dry lands – 10.5 centners per hectare.

All farms of Uzbekistan produced about 8.267 million tonnes of fruits-vegetables and potatoes. The growth made up 2.1% and 5.5% respectively.

In the result of economic reforms in cattle breeding, all farms increased number of cattle breeding (8.893 million heads). The growth rate made up 6.9%.

Currently, share of farm entities in agriculture production makes up 34.5%. This share of cotton breeding made up 100%, wheat – 84% and silk production – 97%.

In line with the State Programme on land reclamation of irrigated lands, some 350 projects realized in Uzbekistan. In the reporting period, some 84.4 billion soums were used (107 projects on reconstruction and construction of land reclamation and 243 projects on repairing and rehabilitation).
