The Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation, the Guild of Authors and Performers, and Markaz TV Channel are organizers of the event, which will honour outstanding achievements in music, television- and video-art.

The goal of M&TVA-2009 award is to select and encourage the most outstanding representatives of various fields that have made significant contributions to the development of Uzbekistan’s culture and arts in 2009.

The organizers said that the Russian singer will present his new album at the M&TVA award ceremony.

The programme of the award presentation ceremony will include music performances by prominent local musicians and participation by figures from the capital’s beau monde: popular TV and radio journalists, famous film and theatre actors, film directors, and pop stars.
