Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the evening of 1 August, a fire broke out in dry grass within the green zone near Parking Lot R7 of Tashkent International Airport.

The smoke was first noticed by a parking attendant at 18:17, who immediately alerted the fire service. Within four minutes, at 18:21, two fire crews from the airport’s emergency fire rescue service arrived at the scene. An additional city fire unit was dispatched at 18:32 for reinforcement.

Thanks to the swift response, the blaze was fully extinguished by 18:37. No casualties were reported, and neither the airport infrastructure nor the parking facilities were damaged.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
