Representatives of Senate and Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, public organizations, political parties, as well as heads of NGOs, which win grants, participated at the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the participants noted that Uzbekistan created independent system and necessary conditions for support of NGOs.
One of grant competitions, announced by the Fund this year, was directed at developing small business and private entrepreneurship, stimulating introduction of advanced technologies into production, expanding cooperation between businesses, ensuring employment, etc.
Over 200 public organizations and other civil society institute from various regions of Uzbekistan participated in two grant competition. The parliamentary commission on using resources of the Public Fund adopted decision to support projects of 46 NGOs with total cost of 683 million soums.
At the ceremony, representatives of the grant winners received their certificates.
